We almost have enough to air an extra flight of ads
On Sunday, I reached out to you and said this:
Tomorrow at 5 p.m. ET is the banking cutoff to wire money for our final set of TV ads. After that, we’ll need to pivot to spending our resources elsewhere. We already know the other side is spending $4 million a day over the airwaves. We can’t afford to pull back now.
We need to raise another $450,000 before 5 p.m. tomorrow to afford our final TV wire. This isn’t an arbitrary number. It’s exactly what we need to raise to keep these ads fully funded through Election Day.
You came through.
On Sunday and Monday, we raised $519,252 from our grassroots team. Our final TV wire was paid on time, and our closing message will be on the air through Election Day. I hope you understand how important that is.
But what came next, we weren’t expecting.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee announced $3.2M for their final ads. This is triple what they had originally announced.
The good news is you helped us exceed our last goal. Now, we’re seeing if we can raise the resources to launch an extra set of ads to fend off this surprise set of attacks from the other side and make sure our closing message to voters breaks through.
My team let me know if we can raise another $275,000 before 5:00PM, we can increase our spending online and on TV screens in the final days of the election when millions of Ohioans will be casting their ballots.
