Thank you for trusting me, and believing that a winning campaign can stick to its values and tell voters the truth.
No matter what happens next week, I’m proud that from Day One we’ve run a campaign based on principles I’ve followed my entire life: Stand up for workers. Treat everyone with respect. And work as hard as I can for the people of Ohio. I sent the note below the day I announced I was running for office.
Thank you for trusting me, and trusting that a winning campaign can stick to its values and tell voters the truth.
I’ve tried to live my life following three principles.
First, stand up for workers. Whether you punch a clock or swipe a badge. Whether you earn a salary or make tips. Whether you work in a factory or on a family farm.
Second, treat everyone with dignity and respect. The same way you expect to be treated and how you’d want your family to be treated.
Third, work as hard as possible for the people of Ohio. Because Ohioans face real challenges, and need someone who always puts them first.

In Ohio we’re proud to have the best workers in the world.
But as we all know, these days having pride doesn’t get you very far.
Pride can’t pay for groceries, or cover your mortgage or help with the cost of your energy bill.
And for the past eight months all Washington has done is make things worse for Ohioans, handing over your hard-earned money to corporations and billionaires.
Their reckless tariffs and economic chaos are increasing prices and threatening the survival of small businesses across our state.
Instead of lowering costs, they’re raising drug prices on seniors and cutting healthcare for 490,000 hard working Ohioans.
They’ve raised the deficit by over $3 trillion.
All while giving billionaires and corporations the largest tax cut in American history.
This morning, I announced my campaign for the United States Senate.
I didn’t plan to run for office again, but when I see what’s going on, I know I can do something about it for Ohio, that’s why I’m running.
Because even in these challenging times I still believe if you stand up for workers, treat people with respect and always fight for Ohio, you can actually make a difference.
If you believe that too – I hope you’ll join me by chipping in a few bucks or forwarding this email to some friends.
We’re in this together.

Before you click away! Republican spending in Ohio has reached $317 million, and Sherrod Brown is counting on your support to keep up. We can’t outspend them, but we can outwork them.
