Integrity

It’s been 24 hours since Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign released a disgusting ad about my friend Dr. Amy Acton.

Today, my opponent Jon Husted had a great opportunity to condemn the ad publicly, on stage with JD Vance and Ramaswamy in Cincinnati.

He refused to condemn the ad.

JD Vance had the nerve to defend Ramaswamy’s ad, saying he was disgusted to “see Republicans across the country who are whining” about that advertisement.

What this comes down to is integrity. What you stand for. Who you stand for. Jon Husted has shown us many times that he’ll cower to anyone, as long as they keep the money coming in to bail him out.

Husted votes for the costly war-of-choice in Iran fourteen times, and Donald Trump promises MAGA Inc will cash a check for his campaign.

He votes to increase the cost of health care nine times in order to please his Big Pharma donors.

He gives data center developers and Big Tech guys billions of dollars in tax breaks because he knows they’ll help him hold onto power.

And today with JD Vance? Husted put his partisanship first again.

Jon Husted is supposed to stand up for Ohio. He’s proven that he either can’t or won’t.

I can’t stand bullies. It’s why I’ve spent my whole career fighting for working families and people who get pushed aside. It’s why I got back in the fight.

They’re doubling down. Well, we are too.

Over the next 13 days I will be out on the trail talking to voters about the choice coming up on November 3.

I need your help to get our message to as many people as we can before all the votes are counted. If you’d like to make a contribution directly to my campaign, it will have an immediate impact. And if you’d like to help Amy push back against the millions Republicans are spending to smear her, you can split a donation with her campaign too.

Moments like this show us who people really are, deep down. As appalled as I am by this ad, I’m glad that Ohioans are seeing what Ramaswamy, Husted, and JD are made of.
