This ad is disgusting, and everyone should condemn it.

Hey folks,

I wasn’t intending to send you a note this late tonight, but I have to say something about this.

There’s a new attack ad from Vivek Ramaswamy against Amy Acton in the Ohio governor’s race. It’s something they’re likely to spend millions of dollars putting in front of voters.

If you haven’t seen it yet, consider yourself lucky. The New York Times said it turned that race “even uglier.” Amy’s brother said in his statement: “This desperate, disgusting attack reveals exactly who Vivek Ramaswamy is at his core – a pathetic excuse for a man who is willing to hurt anyone as long as it gets him what he wants.”

Look, this ad is one of the more outrageous attacks I’ve ever seen. Every single Republican running for office in Ohio should be willing to condemn it — including my opponent, Jon Husted. Right now, I don’t particularly need to hear how Vivek Ramaswamy’s campaign will try to justify this. All I know is I’m going to do what I can to stand up for my friend Amy.
